The Necklace: A True Story of 13 Women, 1 Diamond Necklace and a Fabulous Idea By Cheryl Jarvis. Oh I love this book! It’s the story of a beautiful diamond necklace that an ordinary woman fell in love with when she saw it in the jeweller’s window in the mall. Somehow or other, this lady managed to persuade eleven friends to buy the necklace with her. Each woman then gets a turn of owning the necklace for one month of the year. The necklace changed the lives of the women in wonderful ways. This is a fabulous true story!
The Garden at Highgrove I have read this book from cover to cover, more than once, and I am very glad to have it in my home library. This large estate in Gloucestershire was converted to organic gardening in the late seventies. It is now flourishing, beautiful and successful in every way. The story is totally inspirational and captivating and it was the inspiration to Philip and me to make our own raised bed organic veggie gardens and mini orchard in our comparitively tiny quarter-acre in ‘paradise’.
